Coin Drive to Help Schools in Need

Check your couch cushions, clean out your car consoles, and support the Community Service Club's coin drive for hurricane relief. Drop off your spare change in the office through Sept. 29. Donations will support the National PTA's disaster relief fund to support schools in need.

Coaches Needed!

FIRST LEGO League, Jr is a STEM-based program that introduces students to building and engineering concepts through the use of LEGOs and later robotics. Coaches are needed for NFE's second and third grade teams. Contact Jenny Scott.

Run or Walk to Support Our School

Register for the Short Pump Mile & Express Fun Run on Sunday, Oct. 1, and NFE could win cash for your participation. We placed third last year. Can you help us get to first?

Have You Ordered Your Yearbook?

Prices go up Oct. 22 so order your copy today. Students look forward to signing them when the books are delivered in the spring.

Want to see your child in pictures? Share photos from classroom and school activities this year for possible inclusion in the yearbook. Sharing is easy on our yearbook company's secure web site (enter 10385 for NFE), or share directly from your phone using the free Herff Jones eShare app. Get more info here.

Meet our Volunteer of the Month

Congratulations to Kim Apollony, September's Volunteer of the Month. Kim has been working behind-the-scenes to get NFE's Membership Toolkit up and running since last spring. She's put in countless hours learning the system, training volunteers, building forms and web pages, running reports and more - and always with a smile. Thanks, Kim, for your commitment to the Farm!

If you know a volunteer who should be celebrated, nominate him or her for Volunteer of the Month.

For a complete list of volunteer opportunities on the Farm, be sure to check out the Volunteer Handbook, or contact Becca Kutz.

SUPPORT THE FARM EVERY TIME YOU SHOP OR EAT!

Visit AmazonSmile and choose Nuckols Farm Elementary PTA as your charitable organization. Whether you're shopping for Halloween costumes, fall decor, sporting equipment - or getting a jump start on your holiday shopping - be sure to use AmazonSmile!

Visit Kroger's Community Rewards web site to register your Kroger Plus card, and select NFE (code is 89074) as your Community Rewards Organization. If you registered last year, you don't need to re-register. Now's a great time to start stocking up on Halloween candy and holiday favorites!

Check your cabinets and recycling bins for Box Tops that might be hiding on boxes of food, tissues, Lysol wipes, Ziploc bags, school supplies and more. September collection sheets are due Sept. 29, but we'll be collecting all year long so keep clipping and sending in each month! Additional Box Tops can be earned using the Box Tops Bonus App. Remember, every single Box Top counts!

Need a quick meal idea? Order online from J. Rocco’s Pizza (select Nuckols Farm in the fundraising tab), or order online from Papa John’s (use code NFES). Both options benefit NFE and are valid all year!
