Welcome Back Fox Families!

Please be sure to join our NFE PTA this year to help us reach our goal of 100% participation! To date, we’re at 54% participation…over halfway to our goal of 100% membership! Parents (both mom AND dad), grandparents, relatives and all NFE faculty and staff are encouraged to join. It’s quick and easy to join on Membership Toolkit. PLUS - we will have another gift card drawing if we reach 75% participation by Back to School Night for one lucky winner (for those who join between now and September 19).

The $6 per person membership fee includes our local, state and national dues — and gives you exclusive access to our online student directory. Please contact Dana Hennesey, Membership Chair, if you have any questions.

Calling all artists, musicians, writers, photographers, dancers and directors! Watch for a Reflections Interest Form to come home in your child's backpack or fill one out online. Click here for more information about the program or contact Emily McKinney with any questions.

Help Support the Fox Fund! 

Have you made your Fox Fund donation yet? Donations directly support the amazing programs on the Farm as well as the purchase of new classroom equipment. For those of you who are new to the school, the Fox Fund allows parents to make an upfront donation to the PTA through our Membership Toolkit website in support of our annual operating budget. All donations are 100% tax deductible!  

For the 2019-2020 school year, we have launched a 100% Participation Campaign asking all families to donate no matter how small or large. All donors will receive a 2019-2020 car magnet to show their Fox pride. Don’t forget that you may be able to double or sometimes even triple your impact by simply submitting a Matching Gift Form provided by your company. Information about these matching opportunities is also on our PTA website under the Fox Fund heading.

After School Enrichment Registration Opens September 10

Fall After School Enrichment classes will begin on Thursday, October 3, 2019. Be sure to check out additional information, including class offerings, in your child's back to school folder. Registration for classes will begin online through Membership Toolkit TOMORROW, September 10, 2019. ï»¿Contact Melanie Bosco with any questions.

Calling all Room Parents!

We are looking for coaches for this awesome program! FIRST LEGO League, Jr. is a STEM-based program that introduces students to building and engineering concepts through the use of LEGOs and later, robotics. Coaching a Lego League is fun and engaging as it teaches students about science and technology. Please email Jenny Scott, Lego League Coordinator, for more information.

 News from the Art Room 

I am so excited to be back teaching art again at Nuckols Farm and working with such wonderful and creative students. This week the students are collaborating and creating a 16’x6’ mural of an underwater coral reef with many colorful fish and other sea creatures. Each student, K-5, has taken part and designed something for the mural. This large work of art will be going up in the Twin Hickory Library for the whole month of October, which is so exciting!

Next week, the students will be working on an Art Fundraiser, in art and through the PTA, called Square Art. Each student will be creating a beautiful and original piece of art that can be turned into a variety of products. Check out the Square Art display at Back to School Night. It will be located near the art room.
