 | | Hi, Fox Families- Happy New Year! It is difficult to believe, but we are already moving forward with plans for the next school year. I hope you have received (via email) a Volunteer Interest Form indicating the PTA Board positions that are available for the 2021-22 school year. Please consider volunteering for a position…our success depends on strong parent involvement! If you are interested in a position(s), please email me by next Friday, January 29th. You may also reach out to a Nominating Committee member with any questions (contact information is available on Membership Toolkit): Michelle Lipawsky, Jennifer Huddleston, Amber Manry, Kristy Babcock, or Kristin Wicichowski. Also, did you know? Governor Northam has declared next week (January 24-30) Virginia School Principals Appreciation Week in order to recognize the hard work school principals do each and every day. The HCCPTA Reflections Reception will take place virtually on February 24th. For participating students, our NFE families have received information about the ceremony and how to register for the reception. This week Hospitality volunteers provided the NFE staff with a healthy snack cart to kick off 2021 that included fruit, popcorn, pretzels, snack bars and drinks.
The Hospitality Chairs continue to be grateful for our generous community whose donations make these treats possible for our hard working teachers and staff.

 | | PAVER DEADLINE EXTENDED!
Now is your chance to secure a personalized paver for your child or family! Our paver garden can be found near the big playground, beside the walkway. What an extraordinary way of celebrating your child and their years at Nuckols Farm with a paver of their own. It is a physical representation of their impact upon the wider world. Click HERE to order. The new deadline is January 29. All pavers will be installed by late April to early May, ready for our fifth graders end-of-year ceremony in June. As they transition to middle school, many will be able to visit their paver now and again secure in the knowledge that their foundation at Nuckols Farm is formidable and unwavering.  | | Student and Staff Portrait Collection If you did not have Strawbridge photos taken, student and staff yearbook portraits may be uploaded to the HerffJones eShare app or HERE until Monday February 15th. Use code 10385 for NFES and be sure to select the button that says “Click here to upload a student PORTRAIT.†Include the name as it should be printed in the yearbook. - The yearbook committee will make an effort to use Strawbridge photos instead of portraits that may have been previously uploaded to eShare.
- If you do not have a photo taken by Strawbridge or you do not submit a photo of your student on eShare, his/her name will be included in the yearbook after class photos.
- Due to any teacher changes that have or may occur this year, student photos will be grouped by grade in the yearbook.

BOXTOP UPDATES! - Due to Covid, we have placed a collection box outside of the front door of NFE. It is a plastic gray box clearly labeled as belonging to Boxtops.
-Boxtops can be turned in inside a plastic ziplock bag or we have included (as attachment in this email) a blank collection sheet that can be printed off and used at home.
-If the parent would like their child entered in to a random draw raffle for a prize, they may include the student’s name on their submission.
-All physical Boxtops should be turned in by our second deadline of the school year March 2021.
- Please download and try the Boxtops App and encourage family and friends to as well. So long as a Nuckols Farm Elementary is selected we will receive credit.
