PTA NEWS

Hi, Fox Families-

As we transition to next year’s PTA Board, this will be my last message as PTA President. While this year was like no other, I feel incredibly grateful to be part of a strong school community that persevered despite many new challenges.

I would like to thank all of the incredible PTA Board volunteers for their time and commitment to Nuckols Farm as well as their patience as we navigated unique times. I would also like to thank the NFE administration, faculty, and staff…you all are truly amazing!

To those students and families leaving the Farm, new successes undoubtedly await. Best wishes!

It has been an honor to serve as PTA President. I hope you all enjoy a safe and relaxing summer!

Carrie Settar

2020-21 PTA President

Congratulations Orielle Hall!

Congratulations to NFE 4th grader Orielle Hall for her National Award of Excellence for the literature entry she submitted to the 2020-2021 PTA Reflections program, I Matter Because.  The National PTA received nearly 900 submissions from the 44 State PTA programs, and Orielle’s interpretation and creativity was recognized at the national level!  Her award will include a Young Artist Scholarship, silver medallion, and Award of Excellence certificate.

Orielle's artist statement reads, â€œMy creation is a poem laid out on the page to look like a drop of water.  I used drops of water to create an image of all those drops making a storm.  This relates to the theme I Matter because we are all like drops and if we work together we can make a storm.” To read Orielle's award-winning entry, click HERE.

We are so proud of Orielle!  Congratulations on your tremendous accomplishment in this year’s PTA Reflections program!

Next year's Reflections theme: "I Will Change the World By..."

SUPPORT THE FARM EVERY TIME YOU SHOP OR EAT!

BOXTOP UPDATES!

- For any virtual students, we have placed a collection box outside of the front door of NFE. It is a plastic gray box clearly labeled as belonging to Boxtops.

- For any in-person student, clipped box tops can be turned to your teacher in a plastic Ziplock bag or we have included a blank collection sheet that can be printed off or feel free to tape clipped box tops to any sheet of paper.

- If you haven't done so already, please download and try the BTE App and encourage family and friends to as well. It's free and easy to use. Please select Nuckols Farm Elementary so that our school can receive credit on scanned submissions. This can be done all year long...even during the SUMMER!

The more families participate, the closer we come to meeting our goal in spite of the pandemic. Thank you for your efforts in supporting our school by participating in the Box Tops for Education Program. Together, we all can make a difference in the community and for our school!
