The PTA needs YOU. There are a few open positions that we're looking to fill with talented people like YOU. Everyone is welcome and it would be pretty cool to get a few men to join the ranks.
Does one of these positions appeal to you? If so, reach out for more information
President: Do you have dreams of wielding the gavel and helping keep PTA projects and activities on track? Perhaps you're just a natural born leader. Prior experience on PTA is helpful but not required. Roughly a 10hr/month commitment.
Treasurer: Do you balance your accounts to the penny? Are you excited about finance and spreadsheets? If so, come along. You will get a meticulous transition folder from the previous treasurer as well as tips and tricks to ensure your success. Roughly a 25 hr/month commitment. We promise you won't be left to flounder.
Spirit Wear: Looking for 1 person who can be the front end/business side of this as the creative side is all set. If you're organized and detail oriented, this job is for you. You work closely with the membership toolkit coordinator to set up sales forms. Roughly a 12 hr/week commitment during the fall and in the spring sales.
Fall Festival: Need 1 additional person to co-chair this activity. You will work together to oversee various committees who plan and execute the Fall Festival (2022 known as Spring Fling). If you've ever been called the hostess with the most-est, sign up! Your co-chair is awesome and has experience under her belt. Commitment is about 40 hours over a 3 month time frame.
Gardens & Grounds: Someone out there has a green thumb and finds happiness in digging in the dirt. You will join your co-chair and work to keep NFEs curb appeal high. Not to mention there is that fancy new shed the PTA just funded! Usually two work days are planned and volunteers join in as many hands make light work. Commitment is about 25 hours/school year.
Membership: The PTA is strong due to its membership. Are you the one who can get the party started? We need someone to generate buzz about joining the PTA . There is a reporting aspect that requires a little spreadsheet skill, though the data is generated for you!
Workroom: Have you ever wondered how the teachers get all those handouts copied? Volunteers are key! Can you set up a schedule of volunteers who come in on designated days and make grade level copies? You may even have your own "Office Space" moment while you train folks how to use the copiers. You will quickly become a staff favorite as you take some paperwork off their hands. Heavier time commitment in Fall, then spotty time as the year goes on.
Spirit Night Coordinator: Do you enjoy the nights off of cooking during spirit nights? If you don't mind reaching out to local businesses to set these up, this job is for you. Most of the work can be done on your own time from your own desk. Great role for someone in sales who can use their charisma and charm.
Science/Innovation Fair: Join your co-chair in organizing this one time event for students. You get to plan and organize the event that creates a fun family atmosphere while highlighting the STEAM achievements of our bright students.
Lego League: Where are our engineers? This is perfect for you! Who doesn't love Legos (stepping on them notwithstanding)? You will help recruit teams (k-3 and 4-5) to compete in Lego League (Robotics) competitions. This is a co-chair position and we're needing someone focused on grades 4-5.
After School Enrichment: Join your very talented and charismatic co-chair in coordinating exciting afterschool programs (think Bit Cubs, Young Chefs, Ninja etc) for our students to participate in. YOU and your Co-Chair determine which vendors are made available to the students. You coordinate parent volunteers to help support the activities. Time commitment is variable, some done from your home on your own schedule. Time is required at school in afternoons (1-2x/month)
