President's Message

I’d like to thank all the families who have donated to the Fox Fund. You’ve already seen how your contributions are impacting your child’s educational journey.

The good news is that slightly more than half of all families have donated. Still, I think we can do better.

We started this year in good financial shape, with a small surplus from last year, which was scaled back due to Covid. The surplus went a long way towards reintroducing activities like the Fall Festival and After School Enrichment. We're also helping fund the drama club with new sound equipment so we can hear our young thespians.

I encourage families with the means who have not yet donated to consider doing so. There’s still plenty of time, and it’s easy to donate using the link under the Fox Fund tab. Your small donation adds up to make a big difference.

NFE Turkey Trot

Saturday, November 19th at 8:30am

Turkeys run in the rain, so it's a Rain or Shine event!

In keeping with the spirit of Thanksgiving, we are collecting non-perishable foods to donate to the Henrico Christmas Mother Please bring your donation to the Turkey Trot. Nothing in glass, safety first!

Congrats to our October Volunteers of the Month!

Typically, planning for our annual Fall Festival begins over the summer. Without festival chairs until right before school began this year, our October Co-Volunteers of the Month really stepped up to the plate, filling the Co-Chair positions and planning an absolutely amazing festival in record time, complete with inflatables, food, crafts, pumpkins, and cake!

Thank you, Barbara Bliley and Laurie Nicholson, for all of your hard work...the Fall Festival would not have been possible without you!

Cafeteria Volunteers Needed

We can use up to 4 volunteers every day in the cafeteria to help out during lunch time. You get the feel goods from serving, you get a lot of steps in, and you get to see your student in their natural habitat!

Nurse Logwood, with safety in mind, encouraged all volunteers to familiarize themselves with signs of choaking and the Helmlich maneuver. Take a look at this 1 min video before your next shift.

Library Volunteers Needed

Perhaps a quieter way to see your student in their school habitat! You can be a class volunteer or a background volunteer. There are four opportunites each day. For more information and to sign up, head to the Library Sign Up.

Remember all volunteers in the school, must have their application on file with the office prior to sharing your time and talent at NFE. It's a quick online process. Fill out your FORM and the county does the rest - including letting your know you're good to go!
