 | | It is hard to believe that we have finished week 4 of virtual learning! I know our entire NFES community continues to work hard to make this the best year possible.
Typically, at this point in the year, the PTA budget would have already been approved by our general membership. Due to current circumstances, however, our budget planning process was delayed and an electronic vote will need to occur over the next couple of weeks. For PTA members, please be on the lookout soon for an email containing voting information. In the meantime, financial documents related to the vote can now be reviewed on Membership Toolkit at https://nuckolsfarmpta.membershiptoolkit.com/financial.

 | | 2020-21 Yearbook Update After a resounding response of "YES" - we will be having a yearbook for the 2020-2021 school year! We need your contributions to make sure your child is in the yearbook! We will be asking for pictures representing different "themes" every couple of weeks- but feel free to submit any photo you would like considered for inclusion. Step 1: Download the Herff Jones eShare app. Step 2: Enter the school code - the NES code is 10385. (It will save this data for next time). Step 3: Enter your contact information so that we know who submitted the picture and can reach you if necessary. (It will save this data for next time) Step 4: After uploading, it will ask you for a "description" - please enter the keywords listed next to the theme! (This is critical to help us manage all the photos!) Themes for the upcoming weeks: - First day of school pics - use the keyword "FIRST DAY" in the description
- Spirit Night at Gelati Celesti - use the keyword "SPIRIT" in the description
- Photos enjoying your Chick Fil A Order Tuesday - use the keyword "CHICK" in the description
Also, remember the theme for this year is Foxes ConnectED: Anytime, Anywhere! So feel free to submit any photo that shows how your kid keeps connected to school, to their friends, or to the environment. Use the keyword "CONNECT". Thank you for helping make this year possible!  | | PTA Membership Thank you to all who have joined our NFE PTA this year. To date, we’re at 79% participation — so close to our goal of 100% participation. Parents (both mom AND dad), grandparents, relatives and all NFE faculty and staff are encouraged to join. It’s quick and easy to join on Membership Toolkit.  | | It's Not Too Late to Donate! As of September 30th, we have 111 families that have donated $7,360 to our Fox Fund! We are very grateful for your generosity! It’s not too late for other families to donate any amount they wish to help support our students. We realize that families have many costs for school supplies at the start of the school year but early Fox Fund donations help us add important and enjoyable equipment, supplies, and activities to our children's educational experience such as: virtual cultural arts, teacher resources, virtual teaching equipment and supplies, and more!  | | Get Your Pavers Now! Are you looking for a way to cement your family’s time at NFES? Is this your child’s first year At NFES? Their last year? A paver is a timeless way to make that possible, and to make them more than just a memory. While virtual learning is a reality for us now, pavers are a permanent way of having your child visit their legacy at school at any time. While we are not physically at school now, the pavers will be there forever. So, order your paver now and make it a special holiday or end-of-year grade promotion gift. Thank you for supporting our outdoor garden area, as it will be instrumental in our return to school, when teachers are looking for a fun way to teach outside! BOXTOP UPDATES! -Due to COVID19, we have placed a collection box outside of the front door of NFE. It is a plastic gray box clearly labeled as belonging to Boxtops. -Boxtops can be turned in inside a plastic ziplock bag or we have included a blank collection sheet at the end of this newsletter that you can print and use at home.
-If you would like your child entered into a raffle for a prize, you may include your student’s name on their submission.
-All physical Boxtops should be turned in by October 29, 2020.
